This fund supports the general mission of LWV-BMC: The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through advocacy and education. LWV-BMC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that began in 1913 as a Women's Franchise League, becoming a local League of Women Voters in 1920 with the passage of the 19th Amendment.

The Ann Heath Memorial Fund provides funds to pay membership dues for students. Ann Heath was a long-time member of the League in Pennsylvania and Indiana. Before her passing in 2018 she was a board member and membership chair for LWV-BMC, and she established a strong program for recruiting new members while maintaining contact with established members.
